Bank of Ireland formally opened the doors of its newly refurbished branch in Carrickfergus on May 21st marking a significant investment in the Northern Ireland branch network. The branch is located on High St and has served the Carrick community for almost 20 years.

Speaking at the launch of the new branch, Manager, Colm Martin said: “We view the modernisation of our branch as an investment in the future of Carrickfergus and recognition of how much we value our customers and staff. “
Stephen Kirkpatrick, Chief Executive, Bank of Ireland Northern Ireland visited the branch to mark the upgrade and to meet staff and customers. He said, “This refurbishment is part of a series of branch investment activities in Northern Ireland by Bank of Ireland that will see Bank of Ireland opening new branches and the transformation of branches including Enniskillen and Belfast’s Lisburn Road. Now more than ever we realise that we need to invest in our customers and the work we’ve done at the branch reinforces our commitment to help them carry out their day to day banking”
Bank of Ireland wanted to create a more enriched environment for customers and has used a design model which has been extensively researched and which is deployed throughout its branch network in Ireland. The newly refurbished branch has 11 staff and will provide the full suite of banking facilities. There has been extensive renovation and modernisation of the customer service area and the upstairs offices. Outside, the ATM has been fitted with a new awning to enhance the security and privacy of customers.
