No fees for day-to-day payments into or out of the account (but there are charges for extra services)
Overdraft of up to £1,000, interest-free for two years, if you meet our lending conditions (you will have to pay interest if you go overdrawn without our permission or if you go over your overdraft limit)
Maestro debit card which you can use to withdraw cash and pay for goods or services at home or abroad, (if you meet our lending conditions)
Commission-free foreign currency
Same current account number as your existing student account (if you have one).

Overdrafts

A convenient way to borrow money for shorter term needs. Used properly it is an efficient method of coping with short term demands on your cash. Once you start work, we can provide you with an interest free overdraft up to £1,000 to help you get established during your 2 year preferential graduate status. You will have to pay interest if you go overdrawn without our permission or if you go over your overdraft limit. Overdrafts are subject to status. All lending is subject to the Bank's lending conditions (status).

Maestro Card

Giving you immediate and easy access to your money 24 hours a day in our cash machines all over Ireland and all cash machines displaying the LINK symbol throughout the United Kingdom. You can check your account balance, order a bank statement or pay your Bank of Ireland UK credit card bill directly (note all card facilites are issued subject to status).

Graduate Loans

Graduate loans are available to help with the cost of starting out on your career.

It is normally the case that you have an existing overdraft on graduation. Graduate loans are available as a cost effective means of dealing with any overdraft you may have accumulated during your student years. By turning your overdraft into a loan, you can enjoy your new salary happy in the knowledge that your overdraft is being taken care of in a manageable way.
