What's in it for you?

Imagine the freedom to do what you want with your cash when you want. No strings attached. Well, here's a bank account designed especially for you. So whatever your plans, it's a great way of managing your money and introducing you to the world of finance. It also means you can start to build a relationship with Bank of Ireland UK that will support you throughout your student years and - hopefully - into the future.

On The Spot Cash

You can get cash at any of our cash machines all over Ireland and in cash machines in the UK displaying the LINK symbol.

Maestro card (for student over 16 only)

If you are aged 16 to 19 years old you are eligible to apply for a Bank of Ireland UK Maestro card. With a Maestro card, you can shop and pay for your purchases directly from your account, and it also saves you carrying cash around. It’s quick, easy and a better way to pay.

Your Maestro card also allows you to pay for goods and services worldwide wherever you see the Maestro sign. It’s just like using your card in shops and at ATMs at home and it means you don’t have to travel with large amounts of cash, so it’s perfect for school trips abroad. If you are under 18, we will need a parental consent in order to process your application.

365 Online and Phone (for students over 16 only)

Remember, to be financially savvy the best thing you can do is to keep track of your spending. You can do this 24 hours a day, 365 days of the year with Bank of Ireland 365 Online and Phone. It’s so easy to apply. Simply call 08457 365 555 to register.

Interest on your Balance

We'll give you interest on every penny in your account and as you build up more money, you get more interest. It's simple: the more you have, the more you'll get.

Easy Lodgements

Paying money into your account couldn't be easier. You can lodge money at any Bank of Ireland UK branch either over the counter or by using the Express lodgement box.

Regular Deposits

If you have a part-time job or receive a regular allowance, why not have the cash paid straight into your account. But remember, if you pay in a cheque you need to wait until it has cleared before you can withdraw that money.

Statements

Track everything that goes in and out of your account by requesting a statement any time you want (up to a maximum of 12 free each year). Alternatively you can get a statement or your balance at one of our ATMs.

Free for day-to-day banking transactions

You can get cash at any of our cash machines all over Ireland and in cash machines in the UK displaying the LINK symbol.
